Imagine a story that observes the very systems of Love…Sex… Relationships… Insecurities…Fear…and Hope. Two storytellers allow us to open the windows and peak into the lives of some amazing characters. It is present day and we hear the story of Daniel & Hannah Smith. They have been happily married for the last 40 years. Both coming from broken families, the two make a pledge to fight through and make their relationship a model for others. They give birth to a child but tragedy hits them when their child suddenly dies three years later. After great mourning they attempt to have another child but a child never comes. The two of them decide to invest in younger married couples at first but realize that the biggest amount of work is needed before the couples are even married.

ABOUT THE PLAY

After much brainstorming they decide that they want to counsel these young un-married couples but want to do it in an innovative and creative way. They create a competition offering a huge award and call it "The Dating Game." Their goal is to take 5 couples on a retreat where they will compete in this game and go head up against each other to walk away with the prize.  Amongst these five couples are: Jacob, Leah, Thomas, Martha, Simeon, Rachel, Mary, Jonathon, David & Michelle. Embedded in these relationships are secrets dealing with sexuality, over jealous girlfriends, identity crisis & great conflicts that are trying to tear the relationships apart. During the process the game tests their trust in each other, their communication & their ability to endure.
